Monday 21st October 2024
Dear Centre Members, Aligned HDR Colleagues, and Allied Members,
We have some great engagements this week: the Decolonising Knowledges and Practices Reading Group meets on Monday and we host an international Futures Forum with Charlotte Hankin on Wednesday. See below for details.
Last week we announced two Post Doc Enablers and we have 2 more that will come through soon (we hope). We also announced the 4 HDR Colleagues who will collaborate with Sarah Firth on the 13th November at Deakin Downtown in Picture your Thesis – all CRF members and HDR Colleagues are welcome to attend. This will be a great celebratory day.
We also held our 4th Regenerator where Amy Antonio and Andrea Witcomb presented thoughts that generated great discussion about research strategies and supports for Cat 1 – 4 funded projects. Please see the recording if you couldn’t make it. We are planning a 5th Regenerator now (in November) to ignite the Socio-Scientific Nexus strand plans to support Cat 1 projects directly with a mentoring and support strategy. This will also dovetail with discussions about how to make the most out of our Deakin Achieve process in preparation for promotion.
Congratulations to Glenn Auld and the CRF members who participated in the Truth Telling Collaborative Manuscript. This manuscript is now in the final editing stage prior to submission to the Curriculum Journal (BERA).
Jo Raphael is travelling on her Academic Study leave – we wish her all the very best.
Best wishes
Peta
