Monday 17th June, 2024

Dear Centre Members, Aligned HDR Colleagues, and Allied Members,

We write this week’s newsletter from the CRF Research Retreat – we have just completed a wonderful On Country day with colleagues (see more below for photos and details). Some of us are staying in the Deakin Short Stay Accommodations at Waterfront – Geelong, others have gone home for the night.

We met yesterday evening and enjoyed a great Greek meal at Mavs on Little Malop (highly recommended). Tomorrow we continue our research retreat. Those attending might be working at the Geelong Corporate Centre or Waterfront library or at any location (like home). We will check in over dinner and continue on Wednesday. Later that afternoon the CRF will be offering a provocation as part of the STEME Discussion group as we wrap up our research retreat. This event has been a wonderful community building event.  Many great conversations and memorable experiences.

Next week CRF members will be present at the School of Education Research Conference – come along to hear what we are up to.

We note that members are travelling a lot during this busy conference season – travel safe.  We also note that many are wrapping up trimester 1 teaching commitments and getting ready for trimester 2. We also note that many of our valued members are not feeling well at present – so we send a reminder for us all to prioritise ourselves and make time to stay healthy and to be with our families.

Best wishes,

Peta and Jo
