Dear Centre Members, Aligned HDR Colleagues, and Allied Members,

Today, 27th May, marks the day of the 1967 referendum, when Australians voted to remove references in the Australian Constitution that discriminated against Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The devastating result of the more recent 2023 Voice referendum was a stark reminder of the work that still needs to be done. This week is National Reconciliation Week with the theme Now More Than Ever #NRW2024 .  It is an opportunity for us to refocus and consider how our research in the centre can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

On Wednesday we are invited to join CRF members  Brandi, GenĂ©e and Kim as they share their different theoretical and embodied entanglements with de/colonisation, both within and beyond the neoliberal university (info and link below).

On Thursday 30th May, we will hold our next CRF Regenerator workshop on Research Program Planning. Join us if you can.

We are also providing information about the annual CRF retreat in June- there is still time to sign up for the retreat and/or our second On Country day.

Regards,

Jo & Peta
