RF Newsletter #9 – Tuesday 9th June 2026
Dear Regenerating Futures Colleagues!
Winter has begun in fine form and made it just that little bit easier to be stuck inside marking assignments and other screen bound work. Do take some chances to move a little, soak in some mild winter sun, and feel the cool winds.
Regenerating Futures can offer some mid-year nourishment for the mind and soul. The next Futures Forum coming up on 18th June at 3pm will come to you all the way from Jaipur, India with Vishal Kumar on “The Anthropocene in the Language Classroom”. The Decolonising Knowledges reading group meets again on 26 June – see details of the reading below.
We are also sharing plenty of opportunities for research grants to move those projects along, professional learning, symposia and for the times when you need something immersive and embodied, we suggest some exhibitions that provide opportunities to explore connections, adaptation, coexistence, regeneration, and becoming.
As the faculty renegotiates the research ecology, Jo and Peta will be discussing the potential future/s of our Faculty Research Group. If you have thoughts or feelings about our options please let us know. As always the inbox is the best way to contact us both regeneratingfutures@deakin.edu.au.
Best wishes,
Peta and Jo
