2026 Newsletter 4

Dear Regenerating Futures Colleagues!

Now more than ever it is important to research for regenerating futures…. We trust that you are thriving in these turbulent times with clear pathways forward and manageable work practices. We are in week 5 of trimester 1 with this also being the final week of term 1 at schools prior to two weeks of holidays. Next week is the final week prior to the Intra-trimester break – and Easter. With the onset of some Autumnal weather – reminders about great camping spots might be useful… see parks Victoria for great suggestions here.

Did you know that the Faculty Research portfolio presents updates on research possibilities each week – see here. Thanks team – this is really useful – especially as Deakin is now managing NOIS (notice of intent to submit) due dates carefully – don’t miss them!

There are also support teams across Deakin: The major initiatives team majorbids@deakin.edu.au, the Partnerships team (fill out this form if you are exploring a partnership) see here.

We are excited to be approaching our first On Country day for 2026 – where we will be walking together on Bunurong Boon Wurrung Country and visiting Willum Warrain in Hastings on the Mornington Peninsula.

REGISTER HERE – we have limited capacity for this event.

Best wishes,

Peta and Jo
