2026 Newsletter 2

Dear Regenerating Futures Colleagues!

Welcome to newsletter 2 – we have some key events to showcase and some initiatives to share. Welcome also to the start of trimester 1 – here we go!

The RF is set for a great year – although it may be our final year… the research ecology is set to be reshaped again this year – ready for 2027. The RF has some decisions to make about how we manage our research interests to align, coalesce, collaborate, and produce. If you are interested in being involved in these discussions, please let us know at regeneratingfutures@deakin.edu.au

In 2026, while we will continue to host our key strategies, we also are igniting the Incubator. This is a strategy that enables those of us who are ARC interested to map a pathway to success (read more below). In 2026, we will also focus on doing research. The RF has three key research projects that have been funded, and you are welcome to join. We will introduce these more formally in our next newsletter.

Thanks to RF colleagues Kavita Peterson and Bronwyn Sutton, who are representing us at the Student Led Conference this Thursda,y 5th March! There is a speed dating style opportunity to explore the research ecology at lunchtime, and Kav and Bron have offered to represent the RF! We hope all attending have a great day.

So, we recommend the newsy newsletter to you and hope that you enjoy reading it and find something for you.

Best wishes,

Peta and Jo
