Dear Centre Members, HDR Colleagues, and Allied members,
As trimester 2 draws to a close, we begin to settle into preparations for trimester 3 or our research focussed time… and the close of this year. Where did that year go? In fact, for the CRF we are now asking “where did our three years go?” We have participated in the Faculty research review and put forward a strong claim/request for the continuation of our community and an increase for our research capacity building. Jo and Peta have participated in meetings, written a submission, and discussed many possibilities. We are now watching this space to hear how the faculty will respond.
We are also updating our CRF website… we want this to be a celebratory showcase of our three years of action. Please take a look https://regeneratingfutures.deakin.edu.au/
We have the shell and are now fleshing out with the data. We will represent all of our Future Forum recordings, for example, as well as our Enabler funding and the outcomes. If you have thoughts as to what you want to see please be in touch.
We’re also planning to host some focus groups to capture your reflections and forward trajectories. If you would like to volunteer to be involved. Please email the CRF inbox regeneratingfutures@deakin.edu.au The outcomes from these focus groups will be represented on the website and in our 3 year report.
THIS WEEK – we have TWO Futures Forums…we hope to see you online on Tuesday for Amanda Page and Wednesday for David R. Cole.
LAST WEEKEND Jo Raphael had a performance she co-directed with Fusion Theatre in the Fringe Festival at Theatre Works… see the rave reviews..see below! Congrats Jo!
FINAL CALL – those CRF members with research projects in the planning stage who want to invest time and energy (with colleagues and focussed support from Deakin Professional staff) in developing the trajectory – please let us know as we are planning the Strategiser – and can be flexible with the dates. If you have already let us know – great… we will be in touch asap.
