Tuesday 3rd June, 2025

Dear Centre Members, HDR Colleagues, and Allied members,
And then it was June… welcome to the inter-trimester break… the time in our year that seems fraught with marking, taking leave, and setting up for trimester 2 – it is also the conference season for some. So, take care of yourself and enjoy.
In our newsletter this week we confirm our CRF Retreat plans for those coming to Warrnambool. Registrations have now closed but we can include you online for the Wednesday afternoon session, if you are interested (please email our inbox). Thursday is a research day (which you can do from anywhere). Friday we are engaging in a collaborative inquiry with the Gunditjmara waterways…and won’t be risking our phones to stay in touch – but will certainly share the resulting photos and videos. If you want to be ‘In Retreat’ without really leaving home – please let us know… we will be sure to include you in meaningful ways.
As National Reconciliation Week draws to a close today, we hope you have spent some time ‘Bridging Now to Next’ and reflecting on the ongoing connection between past, present and future. This Friday our Decolonising Reading Group meets again at lunchtime – details below if you’d like to join.
This time of year is busy and we present loads of choice for interesting engagements. It is also cooling and changing – so we encourage us all to make time to notice and reflect, as we slow into our winter ways of being.
Best wishes,
Peta and Jo
